Guitarist

biography

Abraham Manticore comes from the Frankfurt area. His artistic journey has led him through diverse worlds – through realms of structure and knowledge as well as through periods of upheaval and reorientation. What becomes visible in his music are not concrete stories, but traces: fragments of experiences, memories, and transformations that have been transformed into sound.

As a musician and guitarist, he moves between darkwave, goth rock, new wave, and electronic sound art. His works emerge from atmospheric guitars, dark synthesizer landscapes, and cinematic soundscapes that aim less for immediate impact than for depth and resonance. Melancholy is not a stylistic device, but a fundamental mood—the quiet realization that beauty and transience are often inextricably linked.

His compositions feel like snapshots of an ongoing inner dialogue. Pulsating electronic structures encounter fragile melodies, while guitar lines wander through the music like memories whose origins have long since faded. Between closeness and distance, hope and loss, soundscapes emerge that remain open to individual interpretation.

Technology plays a crucial role in this process. Abraham Manticore uses AI-powered tools to extend his creative work—not to replace decisions, but to discover new perspectives, textures, and unexpected connections. In this way, intuition and machine meet and together form a musical language that feels both modern and timeless.

Each release is part of a larger, not fully explained context. Recurring motifs appear, change their form, and disappear again. What remains is a feeling of longing, depth, and quiet movement—as if the music were telling a story that defies words.

Abraham Manticore deliberately remains elusive. Not out of distance, but because some stories have a stronger impact when they are only heard as an echo.
